COVID-19 Policy Update - May 28th, 2022

Hi friends,

At Escape Room Arlington, safety for our patrons and our staff is our primary concern.

As you know, the landscape of COVID-19 restrictions is ever-changing. At the best escape room in Arlington, we’ve maintained our facemask policy that we re-enacted in January of 2022 which involves everyone wearing facemasks at all times in our facility. We had enacted this policy in light of the 2021 holiday season’s COVID-19 Omicron variant wave of infections. We maintained this mask policy through the spring of 2022 to monitor how COVID cases spread during spring break. While media coverage on COVID-19 feels like it’s decreasing, cases locally are still rising, and we’re still looking to keep things safe for our staff. We’re honored to be a popular spot for tourists in DC, but this does increase the COVID risks for patrons and staff. The safety of our patrons and staff is our primary concern.

In light of CDC guidance, we’re changing up our facemask policy, but only a little bit. Our facemask policy as of May 28th, 2022 is now as follows:

  • Face masks or face coverings are still required in all public spaces (lobbies, bathrooms, etc.) in our facility.

  • Face coverings are not required inside the escape rooms themselves for participants who provide proof of vaccination.

  • If any participant chooses not to provide proof of COVID vaccination, a face covering must be worn by that participant at all times.

Here’s what’s staying the same:

  • All bookings still remain automatically private.

We plan to make no major changes to our hours or booking structure during 2022. Our rooms are geared for team-building and group communication, so bring your friends and family!

  • Sanitization remains a top priority.

Handheld props and frequently touched surfaces are still being cleaned thoroughly regularly, as well as common areas such as lobbies, bathrooms, and hallways. We have been keeping this a top priority since we re-opened in July of 2019, and we’re still cleaning consistently.

  • Do not come in if you have COVID-19 symptoms!

We will refund or reschedule, no questions asked. The health and safety of both you and our staff is our top priority.

  • We continue to follow guidance from the CDC, Virginia Department of Health and Arlington County.

Thank you for all of your support and we look forward to hosting your next adventure!
