New Pricing Structure

We are implementing a new pricing structure starting after Labor Day. We’ve always loved providing the best quality escape room experience at the best price point. However, there are several reasons we’ve modified our pricing structure. Beginning on August 7th, 2021, our rooms will cost $32.50 per person with a minimum booking price of $75. Here’s why.

Bookings Will Always Be Private

The COVID-19 season brought changes to the escape room industry. Before 2020, many escape rooms offered public bookings – that is, bookings that may be shared with strangers. During the past year, almost all escape rooms have shifted to private experiences only. Private escape rooms are nice – you never have to play with strangers, their kids, or large groups of people. We have found private bookings provide far better customer experiences than public ones.

That said, due to these changes our average group size is much lower than it was pre-pandemic. In order for the numbers to make sense, a minimum price is necessary to offset this smaller average group size. In setting our minimum price, we looked at industry standards and made sure that ours is competitive. You won’t be overspending on hidden fees such as activities fees or processing fees, either – what you see is what you pay.

No Minimum Number of Participants

Part of the reason you love coming to our location is that you can still come as groups of two people, unlike many other escape rooms in the Arlington and DC area – some places have minimums as high as three, four, or even five participants per group. We love that we can be an ideal destination for your date night, small get together, or friends’ night out. We still want to offer this for you, and our new pricing structure is a compromise to let us give you the perfect date while still keeping the numbers reasonable for us to operate.

We Are Keeping Our Quality High

We’ve always considered ourselves to be the best escape room in Arlington, and in the DC area. “Best” is a vague term, however – to be specific, we are the cleanest, most sophisticated, and best maintained escape room in the DC area. We care passionately about the experiences we’re providing for you, and we therefore feel it is justified to charge what the experiences are actually worth. When you purchase tickets to our escape room, you’re not getting the budget experience – we don’t cut corners with anything. We feel it is just that our experiences are priced as they are.

Streamlining the Process

Before, our newest room was priced differently from our other rooms. This was confusing and not worth explaining. With our new pricing scheme, all of the rooms are priced the same. No “Well, this room will cost this much, but this room costs this much for this reason, and this room costs this much for this other reason.” It’s simple and intuitive.
